Yeah, was told it was because Mac users didn't like that Windows users got the guns first.
But i think the real reason is that Mac users don't like to wait for Apples approval.
Besides, as they're already released for iDevices, it makes even smaller sense now, as Apple=iPhone and Mac.
Exactly, if they can approve it for the iPhone why can't they approve it for the Mac in the same time. It makes no sense to me. Apple needs a kick up the ass with this
different operating systems :L which i constantly had to explain to people at work -_- "excuse me sir but the reason your ipad apps are not available on your mac is because ipad uses iOS 5 and mac uses OSX mountain lion they are not the same, therefore you can not touch your mac's screen and expect it to magically spin and twiddle" in other words its like Sony trying to approve one thing on PS Vita and for PS3.... different operating systems, meaning a heck load of paper work for some poor guy.

Didn't anyone ever tell you? There's one thing you never put in a trap. If you're smart, if you value your continued existence, if you have any plans about seeing tomorrow, there is one thing you never, ever put in a trap.
And what would that be, Sir?
